Good Morning!
Thanks for checking out the newest installment of our blog. In just a couple of hours, 42 teens and adults will be traveling back to St. Gabriel to help with the rebuilding of New Orleans. I am really excited to be going back and can't wait to see the progress that has been made. It will be great to see Fr. Doug and Sr. Kathleen again also.
Our group was given a wonderful presentation by Lowe's home improvement stores. They came out to our parish and demonstrated how to hand dry wall and lay ceramic floor tile. It was very hands on, and the teens did great. (Huge Thanks to Gary and Ed, our presenters. They did an awesome job!) Now, let's just hope we remember everything they taught us when we get down there!
It will take approximately 16 hours to get there, and we will be traveling by Croswell Motor Coach. Many of the teens stayed up till midnight tonight to get their Harry Potter book to take on the trip. (What are the odds that it will be quieter this year? Nah!) None the less, we are really excited about our pilgrimage, and can't wait to get there.
We'll keep you posted.
